The Super Nintendo (SNES) version of Space Invaders, released in 1994, is a faithful port of the original arcade classic with added visual options and a two-player mode. It offers players four different visual "cabinets" to choose from, including a black-and-white original and a full-color version, as well as a split-screen versus mode where two players compete head-to-head. The core gameplay remains unchanged, with players defending Earth from descending aliens by moving a laser cannon and shooting them before they reach the bottom of the screen.
