Connect a compatible USB-C-enabled Mac or iPad to an HDMI display while keeping a standard USB accessory and USB-C charging cable connected. The Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter brings display output, accessory connectivity, and charging access together in one convenient adapter.
Three Connections for Your Setup
HDMI output: Connect a compatible TV, monitor, or projector to mirror your Mac or iPad display.
Standard USB-A port: Connect supported accessories such as a flash drive or camera, or a suitable USB cable for supported syncing and charging.
USB-C charging port: Connect a suitable charging cable and power adapter to charge your compatible Mac or iPad while using the adapter.
From Desk to Presentation
Show your work on a larger screen, share a presentation through a projector, or connect a USB accessory without giving up access to charging. Connect the adapter to a supported USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) port, then link your display using an appropriate HDMI cable.
Display Resolution and Compatibility
Supports up to 3840 × 2160 at 60Hz with compatible Mac and iPad models and a suitable HDMI setup. Other supported configurations provide up to 3840 × 2160 at 30Hz or 1080p at 60Hz. Available resolution and refresh rate depend on the host model, adapter version, display, and HDMI cable; a USB-C port alone does not guarantee video output or 4K at 60Hz.
The USB-C port on the adapter is intended for charging, not as an additional general-purpose USB-C data port. Check your Mac or iPad model’s compatibility and your accessories’ software and power requirements before use.
